Itinerary
Early morning flight arrives in Colombo, and a special bus will pick you up to a 200-year-old garden mansion for breakfast and a short rest. In the afternoon, it takes about three hours to drive to Sigiriya, which was the political heart of Sri Lanka from the 5 th century BC to the 13 th century AD, and still preserves the most important archaeological sites such as palaces, pagodas and grotto murals in the country.

In the morning, visit the site of Lion Rock in Sigiriyah, which was built in the 5 th century AD. This 200-meter-high giant rock stands abruptly above the jungle, with palaces and fortresses built on the top, and ancient murals depicting court life are preserved on the rock wall.
afternoon Head to another World Cultural Heritage Site-the ancient city of Polonnaruwo. The ruins of this city, founded by the Juro dynasty in the 10 th century, include both a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva and a 14-meter-long granite reclining Buddha statue showcasing the pinnacle of Sinhala art.

In the morning, visit the magnificent Danbule Golden Temple Grottoes, which contain a large number of exquisite Buddha statues and murals describing the Buddha’s life, including statues of Hindu gods added in the later period. Then drive for about 2.5 hours to Kandy, the last ancient capital of Sri Lanka’s dynasty, and stay in a private mansion on the outskirts of Kandy nobles built in 1804.

Today, we have a full-day off-road vehicle safari (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and go deep into Yala National Park. This reserve is home to 44 species of mammals, including rare leopards, lazy bears and herds of Asian elephants. It is one of the areas with the highest density of leopards in the world.
