In-depth customization of Toyota Prado audio system: professional acoustic remodeling of Aiwei two-way architecture

This Toyota Prado (overbearing) owner is our loyal customer. His Highlander car was upgraded with an Aiwei sound system before, and he was quite satisfied with the actual listening effect. Based on this trust and good experience, when he bought this Prado with more off-road temperament and usage needs, he once again entrusted us with the important task of audio upgrading. Different from last time, the owner hopes to achieve “one-step” in-depth modification this time, and pursues the quality leap of every link from sound source, processing, amplification to wire transmission. After an in-depth understanding of car owners’ music preferences and overall budget framework, we carefully planned and implemented the following complete system scheme that takes into account performance, brand matching and practical value. The detailed configuration and construction process are now publicly displayed for car audio enthusiasts’ research and reference.

Core system configuration checklist:

1. Sound source host: Alpine 163 EBT CD/digital media player, providing high-quality signal sources and rich audio source access capabilities.

2. Audio processing core: Morel’s new eight-channel DSP processor is responsible for the precise remodeling, frequency division management and time calibration of the entire vehicle sound field.

3. Front sound stage main speaker: Awave KING 62 C two-way set speaker, as the main sound field of the system, is responsible for the main presentation and detail restoration of medium and high frequencies.

4. Rear sound field auxiliary speaker: German Rainbow SL-C 6.2 two-way package speakers supplement the rear sound field and create a surround atmosphere.

5. Front sound field drive power amplifier: Awave KING 160.4 four-channel power amplifier actively drives the front sound field speakers with abundant power and high control.

6. Rear sound field drive power amplifier: German GROUND ZERO two-channel power amplifier, responsible for driving the rear sound field speakers.

7. Subwoofer unit: German GROUND ZERO eight-inch subwoofer, installed in a customized inverted box, supplements extremely low frequencies.

8. Dedicated power amplifier for bass: An additional two-channel power amplifier, dedicated to driving the subwoofer unit, ensuring low-frequency strength and control.

9. Full car audio cable: Use high-quality Tengse professional audio cables to ensure low-loss signal transmission.

Front sound field Aiwei KING series midwoofer unit installation: We have customized and sealed exclusive gaskets for the horn to ensure that its acoustic performance is optimally exerted in the door panel environment.

Front sound field Aiwei tweeter installation: The tweeter is precisely positioned and angle adjusted, and is mounted inverted on the A-pillar trim panel, aiming to obtain a wider and more accurate high-frequency sound field and image.

Rear sound field rainbow two-way speaker installation: As a supplement to the backcourt, the rainbow speaker is installed in situ on the rear door panel, focusing on the integration with the interior.

Rear Sound Stage Rainbow Tweeter Installation: The tweeter unit is positioned and installed near the rear door trim or C-pillar according to the interior structure to form an effective rear surround sound field.

Alpine 163 EBT host installation: The host is installed with standard positions or customized panels to ensure convenient operation and visual coordination with the original factory.

Manufacturing and installation of 0.8-inch subwoofer custom cabinet: In order to make full use of the space and obtain the best low-frequency response, we tailored the inverted mold box for this zero-point low tone, and selected a reasonable location for installation, striving to balance the low-frequency effect and space practicality.

Aiwei KING series top four-channel power amplifier installation: As the core power to drive the front sound field, this power amplifier is properly placed in hidden positions such as the bottom of the seat or the side wall of the trunk, and is well dissipated and fixed.

Installation effect of two zero-point power amplifiers: Two zero-point power amplifiers used to drive the rear sound field and subwoofer respectively also adopt hidden integrated installation, with neat wiring and emphasis on beautiful craftsmanship and long-term reliability.

So far, the “one-step” car audio system upgrade project of Toyota Prado (overbearing) has been successfully completed.
