Phase 1: Full vehicle acoustic environment optimization project
An excellent sound system is inseparable from a high-quality acoustic environment. We first perform a comprehensive sound insulation and noise reduction treatment on the vehicle. We noticed that the original horn base design of Model X contains unique acoustic considerations-its opening has a specific upward directivity, which is a precise design made by engineers to optimize the sound field in the car. In order to respect and utilize this original factory acoustic structure to the maximum extent, we decided to keep the original car horn base and tailored it with a high-precision adaptation gasket. This modification concept of “adapting to the car” is the key to realizing the potential of top-level equipment.

Construction begins with applying professional-grade sealant to the joints to ensure acoustic tightness and then securely bonding the custom gasket to the base.

The in-situ installation effect of the modified speaker base assembly achieves a perfect balance between non-destructive upgrade and acoustic optimization.

We strategically implanted a specific thickness of acoustic memory foam inside the base cavity. This subtle measure can effectively improve the acoustic resonance characteristics of the mid-frequency band, and bring audible improvements to the restoration, fullness and thickness of the human voice.

The Rekal mid-woofer unit is finally installed to complete the effect. This case once again proves that half of the value of top-notch car audio equipment lies in professional installation and adjustment. After precise angle adjustment, the tweeter is installed in situ on the A-pillar to ensure optimal high-frequency diffusion and sound field positioning.

The “brain” and “heart” of the system-Biwei DSP processor, Magic Cube six-channel power amplifier and zero-point bass power amplifier are integrated under the main driver’s seat. The layout is neat and the heat dissipation is scientific, which is convenient for subsequent maintenance and adjustment.

The zero-point 8-inch subwoofer cabinet is cleverly placed in the reserved space of the trunk, which provides deep and accurate low-frequency response while maximizing the practicality of the storage function.
