Fully active three-way solution for German zero-point audio system: acoustic reconstruction of flagship speakers and 8-inch bass

 

 

After in-depth understanding of the customer’s specific modification budget range and unique music listening preferences, we tailor-made and recommended a balanced sound system upgrade plan with great cost performance and sound quality expression:

1. Sound source part: We selected a Kenwood professional digital player with reliable quality as the core sound source of the system (this is a second-hand boutique equipment that has been rigorously tested, which significantly optimizes the overall budget on the premise of ensuring excellent sound quality).

2. Audio processing core: Equipped with a powerful Morel 8-channel DSP digital signal processor, it is responsible for active frequency division, time calibration and fine EQ balance adjustment of the whole system, laying a solid foundation for subsequent precise tuning.

3. Front sound field speaker: The core selection is the highly acclaimed RC 165.3 SQ ATC series active three-way package of Germany’s Ground Zero. This set of speakers is famous for its accurate timbre reproduction and excellent dynamic performance. The active design provides the possibility of independent driving and adjustment for each unit.

4. Subwoofer system: A German zero-point 8-inch subwoofer (pre-installed in a special acoustically optimized cabinet) is supplemented, aiming to improve the low-frequency dive and volume sense of the system and provide a solid and shocking bass foundation.

5. Bass-specific power amplifier: A zero-point GZIA-2080 HPXII two-channel power amplifier is used to independently drive the subwoofer to ensure that it obtains abundant and fully controlled power.

6. Front sound field power amplifier: With a Magic Cube six-channel E 600 power amplifier, its six-channel design perfectly corresponds to the six independent driving channels required by the front sound field three-way active mode, providing pure and stable energy supply for high, middle and bass units.

The following is a detailed construction process record of this audio modification project. The first and crucial basic step is to carry out comprehensive sound insulation and shock absorption construction on the four doors of the vehicle to eliminate resonant noise and create an ideal “box” working environment for the speakers.

 

The installation of the woofer unit in the front soundstage is key in affecting the overall sound quality. We customized high-density waterproof wooden gaskets for it, and carried out strict sealing and reinforcement treatments to ensure its stable operation and improve its low-frequency performance.

The next step is to shape the core link of accurate sound field positioning-the modification of the midrange and tweeter units of the A-pillar. The technician is performing accurate positioning and angle measurement based on acoustic principles and the driver’s listening point.

 

The A-pillar mold inversion and installation process are fully recorded, from skeleton construction to final covering, every step is accurate and beautiful.

After careful production and covering, the A-pillar mid-tweeter unit is finally installed on the car. Its shape is harmonious with the original car interior style, and its directivity has been scientifically optimized.

The installation details of Kenwood professional digital broadcast host are displayed. We installed it safely in a position that is easy to operate and does not affect driving safety.

 

 

After the main components of the system are installed, the overall visual layout renderings reflect the concept of clean, professional and efficient wiring.

Germany’s zero-point 8-inch subwoofer cabinet is cleverly placed in the rear trunk of the vehicle, which not only ensures effective sound radiation, but also saves storage space to the greatest extent.

The Magic Cube six-channel power amplifier and eight-channel DSP processor are integrated and installed at the bottom of the front seats. This position is not only convenient for heat dissipation and debugging, but also completely hidden and does not occupy the available space in the car.

 

The zero-point two-channel power amplifier responsible for driving the subwoofer is also installed under the front seats, which is centrally managed with the main system power amplifier, and the wiring is more regular.

A special power cord independently laid for the whole set of high-power audio system, whose wire diameter is scientifically calculated, and electricity is directly drawn from the engine compartment battery, and insulation and protection are done throughout the process.

This system is especially suitable for enjoying all kinds of popular vocals, jazz light music, etc., and can perfectly reproduce the emotional details; Occasionally, when you switch to electronic dance music or DJ music, you can also explode with powerful dynamics, and the performance of rock music is equally full of passion and energy. It is particularly worth mentioning that the connection between the subwoofer and the middle bass in the front sound field has been precisely adjusted, and the performance is seamless. The low-frequency response not only has abundant sense of volume and dive, but also has excellent sense of speed and control, without being sloppy.
