In order to drive the new unit and ensure that all speakers can get abundant and controlled power, we have added a high-quality power amplifier on the basis of retaining the original four-channel power amplifier. When all components of a sound system reach a fairly high level, the quality of the power system, the “blood” that provides energy for it, becomes the key bottleneck that determines the final performance upper limit. Therefore, systematic collocation thinking is crucial. What is admirable is that the owner of the car has long been well versed in this, and has installed a high-performance audio battery for his car before. This time, we went one step further and introduced a Biwei power manager. This equipment is like an accurate “blood purifier” and “pressure regulator”. Its main mission is to optimize the waveform signal of current, filter out clutter interference to improve the purity of power supply, and at the same time monitor and stabilize the output voltage in real time to ensure that back-end equipment such as power amplifier can obtain continuous, stable and clean energy supply under any working conditions, laying a solid foundation for the dynamic, detailed and quiet background of sound.

Below, let’s focus on the representative door panel customized box transformation process in this upgrade. All the plates used to build the box are not roughly cut by hand, but are processed and formed in advance by a precision numerical control engraving machine (CNC) according to the three-dimensional design data, ensuring the absolute accuracy of the size of each plate and the perfect fit of the interface.

The internal environment of the door is complex and may come into contact with water vapor, car washing liquid, etc. Therefore, comprehensive waterproofing and anti-corrosion treatment of customized boxes is a crucial part of ensuring their long-term and stable operation. We use special sealants and waterproof coatings to treat the joints and inner walls of the box, giving them strong resistance to environmental erosion.

After a series of rigorous process steps, the custom cabinet is perfectly integrated into the internal structure of the door panel, providing an ideal working environment for the loudspeaker unit with a strong, sealed and accurate volume.

 

After the door panel interior was restored and installed, the customized box was completely hidden in it, and its appearance was almost the same as that of the original car. However, the internal acoustic structure has undergone fundamental changes, achieving the perfect unity of visual invisibility and auditory upgrade.

In order to achieve accurate sound field positioning and optimal sound directivity, the treble and midrange units are installed on the A-pillar that has been inverted. The inverted mold shape has been carefully designed to smoothly blend with the lines of the original A-pillar car, and the covering material also strives to be in harmony with the texture of the original car interior.

The installation of power amplifier also pays attention to stability, safety and heat dissipation. Crown Road models provide quite ample hidden space under the front seats. First of all, we install a tailor-made metal fixed bottom plate for it to ensure that the power amplifier can be firmly placed in it to avoid loosening caused by driving bumps.

In order to make efficient use of space, the two power amplifiers are installed on top and bottom. What’s more ingenious is that we noticed the air-conditioning cold air duct that the original car passed through from this area, so we made use of it to become a natural auxiliary heat dissipation system of the power amplifier equipment, effectively improving the stability and reliability of the long-term operation of the equipment.

The overall effect after all cables are connected and the equipment is installed in place. The layout is regular and the wiring is clear, which reflects the rigorous attitude of professional installation.

Under the main driver’s seat, we have integrated three core electronic devices: the Alpine digital audio player host, which is the “brain” of the system, is responsible for providing high-definition audio sources; Zero-point brand bass amplifier specializing in low-frequency power output; As well as the Betway Power Manager mentioned above, which ensures the purity and stability of the energy “blood” of the entire system. They are placed here in an orderly manner, which is hidden and does not affect the function of the seat, taking into account both beauty and practicality.
